§ Compiled annual crime, health, traffic safety and corrections data from state sources and reformatted to provide trend data for Epidemiological Profile of Substance Abuse in Minnesota website (www.sumn.org).
§ Served as Central CAPT’s lead evaluator on Service to Science program, Minority AIDS Initiative, and member of the Regional Expert Team Epidemiology Functional Group
§ Combined market research, creative message development and production and strategic alliance building for “Eat Well to Be Well” social marketing campaign resulting in increased calls by seniors to the Minnesota Food Help Line to sign up for the drastically under-utilized Food Support Program as better nutrition was linked to healthy aging.
§ Initiated a planning effort to examine the epidemiological data on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD) and its utility for specific underserved communities in Minnesota. Submitted proposal to University of Minnesota Medical School’s Program in Health Disparities Research in 2008, and have since reviewed grant proposals from 2009-2011.
§ Adopting Cultural Competent Best Practices (ACCBP) Project was designed to build provider capacity to deliver culturally competent services for Minnesota’s racial/ethnic and linguistically diverse populations for chemical dependency treatment system.
§ Coordinated South Dakota’s Youth Tobacco Survey for 2007 and 2009.
§ Completed Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training and certified as a Prevention Professional (CPP).
